Realtime flood propagation on the downstream of Bili-Bili reservoir with hydraulic routing

On January 2019, the biggest flood in last decade struck Gowa and Makassar. The claimed enormous number of victims caused severe damage to many buildings; this can be anticipated by Flood Routing. This study aims analyze hydrograph, propagation time, determine inundation model during downstream Bili-Bili reservoir. research was conducted through three phases: delineation watershed using ArcGis 10.6.1, hydraulic routing HEC-HMS 4.5, simulation HEC-RAS 5.0.7 integrated with RAS-MAPPER. results indicated that hydrographs occurring upstream 3,319.7 m3/s 2.961.4 m3/s, travel time flooding lasted for 1 hour 44 minutes, as well a realtime reservoir produced surface area 52.47 km2.
